Where do you shoot?
I have studios in Boston as well as NYC. While I am based in Boston I make it out to NY about once a month for a few days.. If you are willing to travel from NY to Boston for your session there is a $250 discount to cover your travel fees. Do you have a particularly amazing venue where you want to do your shoot or are you looking for something outside of the typical clean photo studio look? We can make that work! I know of a few amazing venues that are available for rent and am happy to share them for your review.

Do you have your own Hair & Makeup Artist/Wardrobe Stylists?
I have a team of several amazing makeup artists/hair stylists that I like to work with. Depending on the date of your shoot, his/her availability and the type of look you are going for I am happy to book them for you. These artists are all paid directly, in cash. Their rates do vary slightly but most are around $250 for women, $150 for men. If you want to do a big look change (shooting curly and then stopping mid shoot to straighten your hair and then shooting straight,) there may be an additional fee. I also have a freelance wardrobe stylist who has an uncanny sense of what from your own closet will look amazing in a photograph - and she's also happy to shop for you if you don't feel like anything you have is quite right.
What should I wear for my portrait session and how many 'looks' can we do?
I have a whole spiel I will send you about this once you book your shoot. Generally speaking we get to 3-4 looks depending on timing, but sometimes we do less and sometimes more. These things do have a metabolism of their own once we get started. If you want to do a major hair/makeup change that can take up shooting time and we'll have to take that into consideration.
How Soon will I receive my images?
What's the deal with copyright?
Do you just do Performer Headshots?
Your images will be ready within the week following your shoot date. Once you select which you would like retouched it takes about 3 days to receive the final images. Need it sooner? Let me know so I can put your gallery/images into RUSH.
As the photographer I always retain the copyright of every image I take. However, two retouched hi-res image are included in your session. Additional images are $35/each with retouching included. This is a quality control thing - I'm happy to chat with you about this more if you have questions.
